Selection and production
Plan the product for your project
The LED PCB Push Fix Mounting Clip helps secure LED circuit boards to a luminaire body or another suitable mounting surface. Its push-in geometry can reduce the need for screws or additional fasteners when the mating geometry is compatible.
The standard product is made from polycarbonate (PC). Its compact body and flexible retaining tabs support mechanical retention in LED lighting and electronics assembly. Suitability is established by reviewing the PCB hole, mating feature, board and panel thickness, and operating conditions together.
Product and development options
In addition to the standard Push Fix clip, product and mould development can be assessed for different mounting dimensions, body and tab geometries, head dimensions, materials or colours. Similar appearance does not confirm compatibility with another board or panel. Provide the dimensions of both mating parts, working temperature and mechanical loads.
Features and application areas
Push Fix mounting supports tool-free insertion in a compatible connection. The tabs provide mechanical retention and the head helps position the board at the mounting surface. The clip can be evaluated for LED PCB assembly, indoor and industrial luminaires, electrical or electronic equipment, and other suitable panel connections.
Using a plastic clip does not verify the electrical safety of the complete assembly. Required insulation, temperature capability, mechanical loading and chemical compatibility must be assessed for the selected material and final application. Without confirmed evidence, general high-temperature, chemical-resistance or short-circuit-protection claims are not made.
Choosing the right clip
Review the PCB mounting hole, the mating feature on the housing or panel, board and panel thickness, required retention, and assembly or removal method. Include the number and arrangement of clips and any automated assembly requirement. A head diameter or tab span shown on the product drawing is not automatically a recommended mounting-hole diameter. Confirm production tolerances and actual fit before ordering.
Sample assessment should check seating against the mating surface, board positioning and the absence of assembly damage. If removal and reuse are required, evaluate tab deformation and retained holding performance in the application. Material compatibility must also be reviewed for any specified oil, fuel, solvent, acid or alkali exposure.
From project to series production
İdeal Plastik supplies the standard LED PCB clip and supports development of application-specific fasteners. Where the standard geometry does not fit, a new design can be evaluated using the mounting dimensions and working conditions. Technical review, design, mould manufacture, trial moulding and sample approval precede the series-production plan.
Moulding services can also be assessed for a suitable customer-owned injection mould. Samples, drawings and application data can support evaluation of a Turkish-manufactured alternative to an imported plastic clip. Final material and processing decisions follow the project requirements, with respect for third-party intellectual property rights.
